El día 11 de Noviembre de 2007, en la localidad Madrileña de Tres Cantos, en un espléndido día soleado de otoño, se concentro una buena parte de la afición Pitbulera Española, para inaugurar una nueva modalidad de trabajo-deporte denominada MARATHONPIT creada por la Federación Internacional del American Pit Bull Terrier (FIAPBT), la cual, es realizada en exclusiva con la raza canina American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT).

 

The day 11 November of 2007, in the Madrilenian locality of Tres Cantos, in a splendid sunny day of autumn, concentrated a good part of Spanish fans of the American Pit Bull Terrier, to inaugurate a new modality of work-deport denominated MARATHONPIT created by the International American Pit Bull Terrier (FIAPBT), which, is made in exclusive right with the breed dog American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT).

Este Primer Campeonato Nacional, ha sido organizado por la Federación Internacional del American Pit Bull Terrier (FIAPBT) y patrocinado por Villa Liberty kennels y Nestle Pet Care (Elite Nutrición), a los que agradecemos públicamente su apoyo y confianza con nosotros.

 

This First National Championship, has been organized by the International American Pit Bull Terrier Federation (FIAPBT) and sponsored by Villa Liberty kennels and Nestle Pet Care (Elite Nutrition), to which we thank them publicly his support and confidence with us.

 

 

     Calentamiento previo al Campeonato . Previous heating to the Championship.

 

Al estar ubicado el circuito del Campeonato en zona protegida de la cuenca alta del Manzanares, junto al Monte de Viñuelas con unos parajes extraordinarios, hace del circuito que posea una belleza en su entorno fantástica para deleite de los participantes y el publico asistente, a los que ya de paso, agradecemos y aplaudimos su comportamiento cívico, al no dejar ningún rastro de suciedad en el medio ambiente después del Campeonato.

 

Being located the circuit of the Championship in protected zone inside of the fild, next to Mount of Viñuelas with extraordinary places, it does of the circuit that has a beauty in its fantastic surroundings for delight of the participants and the public assistant. We thank and we applauded to the public assistant for his  civic behavior, when not leaving no sign of dirt in the field after the Championship.

Dentro de esta nueva disciplina deportiva de atletismo (hombre – perro APBT), existen varias modalidades de MARATHONPIT (dependiendo la distancia a recorrer en la carrera); MarathonPit – 3 (3 Km.), MarathonPit – 6 (6 Km.), MarathonPit – 12 (12 Km.) etc.

 

Within in this new sport discipline of athletics (man - dog APBT), several modalities of MARATHONPIT exist (depending the distance to run in the race); MarathonPit - 3 (3 Km), MarathonPit - 6 (6 Km), MarathonPit - 12 (12 Km.) etc.

 

 

Algunos de los participantes, empiezan a tomar posiciones de salida. Some of the participants, begin to take positions from race.

 

Cada corredor compite ayudado de su compañero canino, el cual provisto de un arnés corre y tira del corredor (tipo perro de trineo) a través de una línea de tiro (cuerda elástica), que le une al corredor enganchada esta desde su arnés hasta un cinturón especial que lleva puesto el corredor y ambos, deben tener una compenetración bien definida para intentar conseguir un buen resultado en la carrera. Hay que decir, que el principal objetivo de este tipo de carreras, es el de disfrutar; Con tu compañero canino, del buen ambiente saludable que se crea alrededor de este tipo de competiciones, te rodeas de personas deportistas y amantes de los derechos de los animales, haces nuevos amigos, te ves con los amigos que ya conocías, etc. etc. Realmente impresionante.

 

Each runner competes helped of his companion canine, which provided with harness to run and throws of the runner (type dog of sleigh) through firing line (prudent elastic), that unites to the runner hooked this to him from his harness to a special belt that wears the runner and both, must have an affluent mutual understanding defined to try to obtain a good result in the race. It is necessary to say, that the main objective of this type of races, is the one to enjoy; with your canine companion, by the good healthful atmosphere that it is created around this type of competitions, you surround yourself by sport people and loving of the rights of the animals, beams new friends, you see yourself with the friends that already you knew, etc. etc. Really awesome.

 

 

    

  Salida del Campeonato. Beginning of the Championship.

 

   

Solo se admiten para estos Campeonatos, APBT con su pedigree Oficial (ADBA), el cual, se pide el original del mismo para su comprobación en el mismo día de la carrera. No se admiten fotocopias.

 

Single they are admitted for these Championships, APBT with his pedigree Oficial (ADBA), who, requests the original one of the same one for his verification in the same day of the race. Photocopies are not admitted.

Las hembras en celo no se las permite competir. Tampoco podrán asistir entre el publico asistente, para la no distracción de los machos participantes.

 

The females in fervor (hot) do not allow them to compete. They will not be able either to attend between public assistant, for the nondistraction of the participant dog males.

A este I Campeonato Nacional de MARATHONPIT, vinieron participantes y espectadores desde varios puntos de la geografía española, como por ejemplo; Comunidad Canaria, Comunidad de Madrid, Comunidad Valenciana, Comunidad Cantabra, Comunidad Catalana, Comunidad de Castilla y León, Comunidad Gallega, Comunidad de Extremadura, Comunidad Andaluza, etc.

 

To this I National Championship of MARATHONPIT, they came participant and spectators from several places of the Spanish geography, like for example; Canary Community, Community of Madrid, Valencian Community, Cantabra Community, Catalan Community, Community of Castilla y Leon, Galicia Community, Community de Extremadura, Community Andaluza, etc.

Este primer Campeonato Nacional, estuvo bajo la modalidad de  MarathonPit - 3, en un circuito precioso en donde la dureza del mismo, puso a prueba la casta y tenacidad de los participantes de dos y cuatro patas, ya que gran parte del recorrido era una montaña rusa y este tipo de recorridos es denominado por los corredores más experimentados, como recorrido “rompe piernas”.

 

This first National Championship, was under the modality of MarathonPit - 3, in a precious circuit in where the hardness of the same one, it on approval put chaste and the tenacity of the participants of two and four legs, since great part of the route was a hunting and this type of routes is denominated by the experienced runners, as crossed "breaks legs".

 

Momentos previos a la llegada a meta de Carlos (Lanzarote) y Red Rosa (Los Campeones), seguidos muy de cerca por Mariano y Patches (Subcampeones). Previous moments to the arrival to goal of Carlos and Red Rosa (the Champions), followed very near by Mariano and Patches (the Sub Champions).

 

A las 11.00h en punto, se dio el pistoletazo de salida y durante toda la carrera, estuvo muy disputada la primera posición entre los dorsales 7 con  “Red Rosa” (Baby) y 11 con “Patches”. Finalmente y en el sprint final, el dorsal 7 con  “Red Rosa” (Baby) consiguieron la victoria con tan solo 3 segundos de diferencia con respecto al dorsal 11 con “Patches”, que quedaron subcampeones. Carlos Sánchez (dorsal 7) con  “Red Rosa” (Baby) se llevaron el Campeonato a Lanzarote. Enhorabuena a los dos Campeones.

 

To 11.00h o'clock, the exit pistol shot occurred and during all the race, the first position between numbers 7 with  “Red Rosa” (Baby)  and 11 with “Patches” was disputed. Finally and in sprint final, number 7 with  “Red Rosa” (Baby) so gain the victory with only 3 seconds of difference with respect to number 11 with “Patches”, that were sub champions. Carlos Sanchez (number 7) with “Red Rosa” (Baby) took the Championship to Lanzarote. Congratulations to both Champions.

También estuvo muy disputado el último lugar del podium, entre los dorsales 1 con “Red Krom”, 9 con “Red Aker” y 10 con “Miss Patches” . Fue el dorsal 9 con “Red Aker”, el que consiguió subirse al último escalón del podium, clasificándose en tercera posición del Campeonato.

 

Also the last place of the podium was very much disputed, between numbers 1 with “Red Krom”,, 9 with “Red Aker”, and 10 with “Miss Patches”.  Was the number 9 with “Red Aker”, the one that was able to rise the last step of the podium, classifying himself in third position of the Championship.

Cabe destacar, la brillante actuación de los cachorros Villa Liberty´s  “Miss Patches” (Dina) y Villa Liberty´s “Red Krom”, al conseguir con tan solo 7 meses de edad la cuarta y quinta posición del Campeonato respectivamente, simplemente asombroso.

 

It is possible to emphasize, the shining performance of the puppies Villa Liberty´s “Miss Patches” (Dina) and Villa Liberty´s “Red Krom”,, when with only 7 months of age obtaining the fourth and fifth position of the Championship respectively, simply amazing.

 

 

        Después del esfuerzo, se hace mucha sed. After the effort, much thirst becomes.

 

Desde la FIAPBT, felicitamos y agradecemos a todos los participantes por el gran esfuerzo realizado para completar este durísimo recorrido y por la cantidad de inconvenientes que tuvieron que afrontar, para poder asistir a este evento. También agradecemos a los patrocinadores su ayuda, para hacer posible que el MarathonPit quede inaugurado Oficialmente, como una nueva modalidad trabajo-deporte en esta raza canina.

 

From the FIAPBT, we congratulated and we are thankful to all the participants by the great made effort to complete this hard route and by the amount of disadvantages that they had to confront, to be able to attend this event. Also we thank for to the sponsors by his aid, to make possible that the MarathonPit is inaugurated Officially, as a new modality work-deports in this breed dog.

 

Todos los participantes, mostraron su satisfacción y agrado con la organización (FIAPBT) y en especial con las bolsas del corredor por su abundancia, trofeos y regalos para todos los participantes y también para sus respectivos perros, por la asistencia en carrera y post carrera para el corredor y su APBT, etc. etc. Además, la FIAPBT ofreció una comida gratuita tipo picnic para el corredor y sus acompañantes, en donde pasamos un día Pitbulero inolvidable con nuestros perros y conociendo nuevos amigos en un ambiente sin igual y muy saludable.

 

All the participants, showed their satisfaction and affability with the organization (FIAPBT) and in special with the bags of the runner by their abundance, trophies and gifts for all the participants and also for their respective dogs, by the attendance in race and post race for the runner and his APBT, etc. etc. In addition, the FIAPBT offered a gratuitous food type picnic for the runner and his companions, in where we spent unforgettable a Pitbulero day with our dogs and knowing new friends in an without equal and very healthful atmosphere.

Este I Campeonato Nacional de MARATHONPIT, a marcado un antes y un después dentro de las competiciones realizadas en España con los APBT, ya que desde hacia 9 años, o sea, desde el milenio pasado, no se había realizado ningún tipo de evento y en estos momentos la FIAPBT, ya dispone del calendario de Campeonatos para España en el 2008 y el 2009, el cual queda de la siguiente manera:

 

I Campeonato Nacional MarathonPit – 6 ( 6 Km. de distancia ) Domingo 6 de Abril de 2008. Lugar: Madrid.

 

Campeonato de España MarathonPit – 3 ( 3 Km. de distancia ) Domingo 15 de Noviembre de 2009. Lugar: Madrid.

 

Anímate y ponte en forma con tu compañero APBT, practicando el MarathonPit saliendo a correr juntos. La mejor manera de consolidar la relación con tu American Pit Bull Terrier.

 

This I National Championship of MARATHONPIT, to marked a before and later within the competitions made in Spain with the APBT, since from 9 years ago, that is, from the last millenium, any type of event had not been made and at the moment the FIAPBT, already has the calendar of Championships to Spain in the 2008 and 2009, which is of the following way:

 

I National Championship MarathonPit - 6 (6 km of distance) Sunday 6 of April 2008. Place: Madrid.

 

Spain Championship MarathonPit - 3 (3 km of distance) Sunday 15 of November of 2009. Place: Madrid.

 

Lest go, take form with your companion APBT, practicing the MarathonPit leaving to run together. The best way to consolidate the relation with your American Pit Bull Terrier.

 

      

La Policia Nacional hizo acto de presencia, para comprobar que todo estuviera en orden dentro del Campeonato.
